Tomorrow is the first day of March and you know what’s looming on the horizon? More snow. We’re supposed to get blasted by Winter Storm Raoul or whatever name they’re up to now [edited to add: I just googled and it’s Winter Storm Titan, which is a weirdly ominous choice] on Sunday. I kind of feel like a toddler who didn’t get a nap, but seriously. What is the DEAL? It’s 20 degrees colder than normal for a lot of the country and it might end up being the snowiest year ever for some parts. Yay…

I’m just over it. Thank god for Pinterest, because I did get some new project ideas and spring-y colored things to share with you today. Let’s have a gander.

First, this rug. I need it in my life. That looks like a drop cloth, but it’s actually vinyl. GENIUS. Much easier to keep clean.

I’m a snacker, but I’m trying to steer us away from the more processed foods. We’ve found good replacements for Cheetos and Doritos, but Cheez-Its have been harder. I miss them so much I might just break down and make my own.

Pretty! I’d wear this to twirl around in a meadow. (Or to a party, if you want to be normal about it.)

As I usually do when trapped in the house for long periods of time, I found a bunch of stuff to change. First it was the kitchen table (which is still on the list!) and now I want to do something about our poor, neglected bedroom. I’m into that buffalo picture, but what really got me here were the patterned pillows. It’s a happy little spot.

And finally, shout-out to my homegirl:

What are you up to this weekend? (Aside from crying softly into your tea at the thought of more snow.) I might zip over to the outlet mall before the weather hits, and I think I’m going to start painting the kitchen. Might as well get to work if I have to be here, right?

That dress is so pretty! I’m probably doing the same thing as last weekend – a whole bunch of nothing while waiting for my thumb to heal fully.

That bed looks very inviting. Can I dive in and take a nap?

It won’t be nearly as cold down here, but it’s still abnormally cold. I’m going to my sister-in-law’s baby shower and hopefully hit some antique stores on the way out of town!

You know that I’m so over the snow and cold temps, too. I never thought that I’d want to see 30 degrees or higher in the forecast so much. Also, the dress that you featured here is fabulous.
