Pinterest Picks

Happy Friday! We’re heading into a rare weekend without 6 million things to do, and I for one am ready for some relaxing. After these few days of peace our schedule is going to hit warp speed (more details on that soon), so I’d better enjoy it while I can (no, it’s not a baby). Let’s get the laying around like a blob started with some Pinterest Picks! Pass the nachos!

First, this is the bathroom I picture in my head when somebody says “dream house.” I want ALL THE THINGS. The floor pattern, the curvilinear mirror, the separate taps for hot and cold water, the gallery wall, the Color of Perfection subway tiles… This is a rare instance where I wouldn’t change a single thing.

Here’s an easy DIY project: adding wrapping paper to the sides of drawers. I actually have last summer’s cheap-o estate sale dresser still hanging out in the garage–because I’m great at finishing things I start–and this would be a fun way to add some color while still keeping the original midcentury wood on the outside.

This is iced chocolate, a delicious cousin of iced coffee but even better because it features a scoop of gelato and, really, doesn’t anything with gelato get more points than something without? That answer is yes.

Too bad I didn’t see this before the Fourth of July! I might get it anyway; one can never have too many tunics.

And finally, our toilet paper has been boring this whole time! Fail. I might need to peel myself off the couch tomorrow and spray paint a brontosaurus.

So what are you up to this weekend? Anybody else have a break in the chaos? Any big plans? We might go to a bar and watch the final World Cup game, but that’s about all we have on the docket. I plan to be exceptionally lazy. See you on Monday!

That dinosaur would be so fun in a kids’ bathroom! Or if your husband really loved dinosaurs. The iced chocolate looks so good. Mmmmmm….mocha-y goodness!

I’m the one with the dinosaur love in this house! Haha.

that tunic is so cute! I also have a pattern to make something like that. Ever since I’ve been getting better at making clothes all I want to do is make clothes now. Eventually my closet will be filled with my handmade clothes.

Ooh, that bathroom is so beautiful! I would add a custom cabinet beneath the sink though, because you can never have enough storage space 🙂
I keep the loo rolls in one of my handmade laundry bags!
    Happy weekend!

I love both of the bathroom picks. The first one has such a great retro feel with the tile, and of course the dinosaur is priceless. I don’t think that I would ever get tired of it.

What a great idea to add wallpaper to the sides of drawers! I never would’ve thought of that, but think it looks splendid. I may need to go in search of drawers that need this very touch. 🙂

Be sure to share if you do! I’d love to see how it turns out.

Great Pins! Lovin’ the iced chocolate. The blue dinosaur is a hoot! Enjoy your lazy weekend. I spent most of mine at the quilt show (which was great fun)–and tomorrow I’ll need to catch up on Etsy orders. Grateful for the orders–perhaps I can walk them to the post office for a little back to Nature time tomorrow.

Love the mirror and tiles in that bathroom. I’ve never thought about hanging framed art in the bathroom, but it looks really good!

Mmmmm…ice chocolate, yes please! And I love the mirror in the first shot!
It was a nice relaxing weekend around here too…much needed!

I love that bathroom too, but I should warn you that having separate cold and hot taps is not that fun. Trust me. My bathroom was like that in an old apartment, and I basically had to choose between freezing cold or scalding hot water every time I wanted to wash my hands. You can turn on both and fill up the basin, of course, but you still have to rinse off, right? It kind of sucks to be honest.
That tunic is really cute. 🙂
